Supply Chain Management area of ERP and MRP systems is growing as companies are investing in their Warehouse operations automation, based on barcoding technology. Alba Spectrum Corporation is presenting its WMS extension to Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP as well as elements of Supply Chain Management at Convergence 2010 in Atlanta. According to Andrew Karasev, technical writer and one of the major stock holders of the corporation: “We are currently working on numerous WMS, SCM projects in USA nationwide and internationally. There seems to be obvious interest to Barcoding, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Consignment add-ons, working directly with Microsoft Dynamics GP distribution modules: Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Inventory Control, Bill of Materials, versus Stand Alone or External WMS and SCM systems. Direct extension to Dynamics GP doesn’t require complex integration, comparing to stand alone systems and it also allows you to capitalize on the software licenses cost of Dynamics GP, where good portion of the SCM and Warehouse Management logic is already available and all you need to do to enable it is to open Great Plains forms to barcode scanning integration.
On Convergence we invite all the prospects interested to see WMS extension to GP, running directly on Barcode scanner screen and fulfilling SOP Sales Order line, or Receiving PO line in real time directly in Dynamics GP tables. In addition to that, we also plan to demonstrate eCommerce shopping cart integration extension to Dynamics GP in synch work with our SCM and WMS modules. We also invite SCM customers who purchased expensive Warehouse Management external system and now at the point to about give it up, due to long implementation phase and unexpected over budget. We pay special attention to ERP international market, where WMS system software and hardware market could be underserved, as US based consulting companies might be not willing to travel internationally, excusing by not knowing your target country industry compliance legislation and not familiar with local language and culture.
